“I’m Not Ok”

This piece is about the power of vulnerability and accepting when you know you are not at your best and being able to acknowledge that and moving forward to implement your self care routine to reset and recharge yourself. Being intentional about creating a safe space for yourself is important on any healing and self care journey. 

“I’m Not Ok” is about knowing that it’s ok to not be ok.

“I’m Not Ok” was selected as part of the 25th Citywide African American Artists Exhibition with the University Museum at Texas Southern and Museum of Fine Art Houston in 2022. It has also been the featured concept for several RWHA Healing Through Art Workshops, most notably the Wounded Warrior Project in 2024.
