Time To Fly
This work began with a completely different concept. Even with the intentional focus on honoring blank spaces as symbols of stillness and rest, I realized I was holding back, something I haven’t done in a long time.
I wanted something simple yet deep and intentional, but I couldn’t reach that depth until I truly sat still. One night, in a flood of tears, I poured stress, the hustle, intrusive thoughts, and workload into this canvas. Then I was satisfied.
“Time To Fly” is about honoring stillness, ease, and rest, because when you are truly rested, you’re best prepared to soar to the top of the next mountain.
