Roxy Wuz Here Art was selected to participate in the 2024-2025 Citywide African American Artist Exhibition juried by esteemed museum professional and artist, Christopher Blay. The Citywide Exhibition is a longtime collaboration between the Museum of Fine Arts Houston and University Museum at Texas Southern University showcasing African American artists from across the city of Houston.
Roxy Wuz Here Art will be debuting a brand-new work titled "Covered Layers of Generational Trauma" an addition to the ongoing “I Am” Series which features RWHA renowned works “I’m Ok” and “I’m Not Ok” which have both been included in notable exhibitions including the “Thin Line” juried by Kelly Mathews at the Highland Park Art Center in Highland Park Il. As well as the 2022-2023 CityWide Exhibition juried by Michelle Barnes.
Join us for the opening celebration on Thursday, December 12, 2024, at the Glassell School of Art at MFAH located at 5105 Montrose Blvd. Houston Tx. 77006. from 6:30-8:30 pm.
The exhibition will be in view through January 23rd, 2025 after which it will travel to select branches of the Houston Public Library.
