There is something deeply meaningful about seeing my work become part of the Transformative Teal Exhibition, an exhibition centered around transformation, reflection, and healing.
The exhibition opened in July 2026 at Sabine Street Studios at Sawyer Yards, and I am honored to have four original works from Roxy Wuz Here Art included. Contributing to a larger visual conversation about healing and transformation is a reminder of why I continue to create work that invites reflection and emotional dialogue.
The exhibition is beautifully curated by Justine Earl Grant, and I am grateful for the invitation to participate in such a thoughtful concept and for the care put into bringing together this collection of artists and their work.
Man, I’m OK
Among the four works included is Man, I’m OK, a
24 x 30 mixed-media work on canvas created in 2024.

The piece is created from the perspective of a woman holding space for the male experience, an outsider looking in and observing the weight that often goes unspoken.
Man, I’m OK explores the assumed experience of a man navigating societal expectations to be tough, provide, protect, and simply be “OK.” Beneath those expectations exists a full range of emotions that men are not always given permission to acknowledge.
As a woman, creating this work allowed me to look beyond those expectations and consider the humanity that can exist behind them. It explores vulnerability, emotional weight, and the space between what someone is expected to carry and what they may actually be experiencing.
Having Man, I’m OK exhibited publicly for the first time at Sabine Street Studios makes its inclusion especially meaningful.
Four Works. One Larger Conversation.

The inclusion of four Roxy Wuz Here Art originals in Transformative Teal represents more than simply having artwork on a gallery wall. It is an opportunity for the work to enter a larger conversation centered around transformation, reflection, emotional expression, and healing.
That is ultimately what continues to draw me to creating and sharing art. I believe artwork can meet people in places that words sometimes cannot. It can challenge us, comfort us, make us uncomfortable, or simply give us permission to pause and feel.
Transformative Teal is currently on view at Sabine Street Studios through October 10, 2026.
If you visit, I hope the work gives you something to sit with. And if you encounter Man, I’m OK, I hope it encourages you to consider the experiences and emotions that can exist beneath the surface of “I’m OK.”
Sometimes art simply asks us to slow down long enough to see what has been there all along.
Love Can Heal, So Can Art.
