Finding Connection Through Art: Reflections from New York

abstract art Art and healing gallery exhibit New York Art Exhibition roses

There is so much I could say about my recent journey to New York, but it feels right to begin with the exhibition itself.

What stayed with me most was not only the work on the walls, but the energy inside the room, the conversations, interactions, and connections that unfolded so naturally throughout the experience. It reminded me of something I have always believed: we are all connected. Sometimes it simply takes time, space, and openness for certain connections to reveal themselves.

As an artist, there are moments that affirm why you continue creating even through uncertainty, exhaustion, or self-doubt. This experience became one of those moments for me. Every conversation felt layered with intention, honesty, and curiosity. Being surrounded by artists willing to share their stories, perspectives, and creative journeys so openly was both grounding and inspiring.

I left New York feeling deeply full, creatively, emotionally, and spiritually. Experiences like this remind me that art is not only about aesthetics or visibility. It is about resonance. It is about creating something honest enough to connect people who may have never crossed paths otherwise.

I am incredibly grateful to WomenWork.Art for seeing my work and including me in such a compelling and thought-provoking exhibition. To the artists I had the privilege of connecting with, thank you for your brilliance, generosity, and vulnerability. Your work and presence made this experience unforgettable.
